At First Avenue Coffee, we use a number of Perfect Purée products for our seasonal baked goods and house-made syrups. They’re incredibly easy to use to bring fresh fruit flavor profiles to our lattes and donuts. Blueberry Lavender is a classic pairing that we’ve used for a number of seasons. The Perfect Purée’s Blueberry tastes like a dream, and brings a vibrancy to our vegan vanilla cake donuts. We’re massive fans of their variety of flavors and of the creativity they allow us to have.
Yield: 115 g
Lavender Simple Syrup
- 50 g granulated sugar
- 50 g water
- 5 g organic lavender petals
- In a saucepan, combine the sugar, water and the organic lavender petals. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Blueberry Lavender Frosting
- 57 g The Perfect Purée Blueberry Purée, thawed
- 50 g confectioners’ sugar
- 2 tsp Lavender Simple Syrup (above)
- Mix all ingredients until desired consistency is achieved. Add more confectioners’ sugar to thicken, or more purée to thin.
